As an independent donation-funded, non-profit organisation, ANH-Intl has for 15 years been not only a campaign, lobbying and advocacy organisation, but also one deeply engaged in research, innovation and education. The practitioner sector sits at the leading-edge of natural health. To develop and evolve along with the rapidly emerging healthcare sciences, practitioners need to be helping to implement strategies that are not only effective for their patients and clients, but also for themselves. All of this while staying on the right side of the complex laws that can sometimes appear to compromise best practice.

We’re very excited to be launching the first of our Practitioner’s Toolkit Series, that will, in a single day, revolutionise the way nutritional practitioners work. Using real life cases, participants will learn about some of the latest tools, tests and science to empower practitioners and clients alike, while also streamlining the overall function of practitioner businesses. We’re grateful to all our event partners – without them, something this innovative would be hard to make happen.

Why?

There are already some exceptional post-graduate and CPD education providers for practitioners and health professionals in the UK. Far from jumping into the same space and re-inventing the wheel, we see our Practitioner Toolkit Series as plugging gaps and responding to specific needs expressed by practitioners.

As an independent NGO, we have no industry ties or products to sell. But we do have access to an extensive network of experts to call on and we have a huge reservoir of data ourselves built up from our unique relationship looking after the interests of practitioners around the world over the last 15 years. As such, we are presenting an exclusive one-day, leading-edge masterclass in functional lab testing and personalised protocols, which were top of list of topics for the practitioners we surveyed.

What?

Having been on the cutting edge of nutritional and biological sciences for over a decade, our Practitioner Toolkit Series is all about future-proofing. Saturday’s conference has been designed to deliver:

  • Increased confidence in assessing the status of the 6 underlying determinants of chronic disease (oxidative stress, inflammation, mitochondrial function, immune system function, biotransformation and neurotransmitter balance)
  • Evidence-based interventions for individualising and optimising the above
  • How to optimise functional testing — the bedrock of individualised practice — from selection to interpretation to protocol
  • A model to relate and apply theory to practice in a practical setting using ‘live’ case studies with experts who have decades of clinical experience between them
  • A deeper understanding of supplements and their use: simple criteria to make better choices

We’ve deliberately made sure that delegate numbers are limited to enhance both your learning experience, networking opportunities and allow ‘up close and personal’ interaction with the speakers. An opportunity rarely available to you as a stand-alone practitioner. You’ll also be able to build on your learning from the day as you track the progress of our two ‘live’ cases in follow-up webinars.

No event like this would be complete without our specially handpicked exhibitors whose products and services tie in perfectly with the day’s learning. In keeping our ethos, everything in our ‘eco-bags’ relates to a theme that runs deeply through ANH’s DNA: sustainability.

Where?

We needed a venue as unique as the event, so we’ve chosen an eco-conference centre on the renowned Sheepdrove organic farm in Lambourn, Berkshire. Just off the M4 and serviced by two main rail stations, we felt the peace and tranquility would provide just the right headspace to facilitate interactive learning. Brainchild of Peter Kindersley (Neal’s Yard fame) built on principles close to ANH’s heart – ethics, sustainability and organics – coupled with fresh, seasonal and local organic food, Sheepdrove was top of our list.
