Science and law are at the heart of everything we do at ANH-Intl. We still believe in ‘good science’ and ‘good law’ – that slogan has been associated with us since I founded the organisation back in 2002.
But it’s not often we get to report on good law and bad science. This week, however, is such a week.
In the bad science corner, we’re back on vaccines. There have been another two retractions of papers that showed that vaccinated children who had been homeschooled were more likely to suffer particular neurological disorders (including autism), middle-ear infection, pneumonia and various other conditions. They just couldn’t allow that to sit….despite it being evidence of association not cause.
On the good law front, the European Court has just given the French authorities a rap over the knuckles for its excessive restriction of vitamins. It won’t help people in countries which are battling with restrictions over higher doses – but it’s another case in a long line intended to stop protectionist restrictions by national authorities.
Those who have access to BBC TV would have been inspired by the broadcast of the second series of Doctor in the House featuring the fabulous Dr Rangan Chatterjee.
