  Usurp control of your destiny

We’re unlikely to get the best information about how to live a healthy long life from our local mainstream doctor. Nor will this doctor be likely to give us a dietary and lifestyle ‘prescription’ that will give us the best opportunity of overcoming the underlying cause of disease that led to the problem that brought us into the clinic in the first place.

We also are unlikely to get the best healthy eating advice from our governments, given their intimate ties with corporations focused on maximising their bottom lines – seemingly at any cost, especially to the public.

This brings us to the theme of this week’s eAlert. In the first piece, we address 8 steps, 6 of them relating to kids rather than adults, that we consider to be essential to re-developing a healthy relationship with food. We need this relationship if we’re genuinely interested in chronic disease prevention and healthcare sustainability. To do this we need to change our focus on healthcare education for children. It shouldn’t be all about vaccines and government healthy eating guidelines. Centrally it should be about developing healthy dietary practices, learning new skills and beating food addiction, something Big Food has been increasingly exploiting to our detriment.

Our second story gives you some feedback from our ground-breaking practitioner conference held last Saturday. We feel the unique format of our training event takes us one step closer to a teaching model that could be amenable to a much wider group of healthcare professionals.

In our weekly eAlerts, you’ll find out how you can soon watch a biopic about a well-known “liar, healer, monster and saviour” – Andrew Wakefield, where we are with measles eradication, neonicotinoid-laced honey, and pharma’s curcuminoid nanoparticles.
