Vaccinations are safe. These are examples of the kind of propaganda that is being thrown at the public on an almost daily basis. If you keep hearing it, you end up believing it. Well, it’s just not true. This week we’ve done a nutritional and costing analysis comparing healthy eating, based on our own Food4Health guidelines, against a ready-made, supermarket meal and a McDonald’s meal. You’ll have to read our analysis – and delve into our infographic, to find out which worked out more costly in money and nutritional terms. No prizes for guessing which might be most costly to health. In our second piece, I couldn’t help but get on my soapbox on the questions of science, girded by the recent debate on vaccination triggered by the film Vaxxed.  ‘Good science’ and ‘good law’ are the pillars of methodology that underpin all our work at ANH-Intl and ANH-USA. We’re not ready to give up on science. But as my piece illustrates, we have to be very wary about its manipulation by vested interests, our belief systems and our own version of the facts. We also need to be crystal clear about which data are being withheld from us – often deliberately. When the establishment looks to be going beyond what might be expected to evaluate due scientific process and appears hell-bent on destroying a scientist’s reputation, it’s worth also looking below the surface. Here’s a word of warning; you will be called, by some at least, a conspiracy theorist. But only until such time that you have turned theory into fact.
