The ANH-Intl team attended London’s inaugural Love Natural, Love Organic (LNLO) show for the first time last weekend.  While LNLO was a great show, and one with which we’ll be more involved in future, the main event of our weekend was the debut of our unique, innovative, grassroots health transformation initiative, Bite the Sun.

Four into one does go

Anyone attending London’s Olympia exhibition and conference centre between Friday 4th and Sunday 6th July was spoilt for choice.  Along with LNLO itself, visitors were treated to the Back Pain Show, vegan cornucopia V Delicious and the self-explanatory Allergy & Free From Show.  Organised by events company f2f, the ‘collocation’ of four shows under one roof is a novel idea.

It’s also a format and content with which ANH-Intl will be more involved in future.  Although, clearly, this was our first time at LNLO, we’re hoping to work with the organisers to increase the profile of natural healthcare at next year’s show.  Watch this space!

New show, new contacts

That said, the extended team we took to LNLO 2014 was busy enough!  ANH-Intl’s executive & scientific director, Rob Verkerk PhD, gave no less than three 45-minute presentations on consecutive days.  The rest of the ANH-Intl team – showing off the latest ANH t-shirt designs – manned the stand, chatting with the public and explaining our philosophy and mission.  Since LNLO is a purely consumer show, as opposed to the more trade-focused events we attend throughout the year, there was less immediate ANH-Intl ‘brand recognition’.  Even so, were delighted to see so many new faces at the stand and to make so many new contacts.  It was also great to see so many people at the four collocated shows in such cash-tight times: clearly, the word is getting out that mainstream processed food is bad news!

Bite the Sun goes public!

Dr Verkerk ended the last of his three talks – entitled Changing the world within and around you through personal empowerment – with a flourish: the world premiere of the Bite the Sun (BTS) teaser trailer.  We’ve embedded it below for you to watch at your leisure, and there’s far more information on this exciting new venture in our accompanying articles.  Meleni Aldridge, BTS Managing Director and ANH-Intl executive co-ordinator, and other members of the BTS team including Dr Verkerk and Adele Wolstenhulme, could be seen sporting their multi-hued and rather stylish BTS t-shirts at the dedicated BTS stand.

“It was wonderful to meet so many new friends at LNLO, and to see how interested people are in the concept of Bite the Sun,” said Meleni.  “Clearly, the public is interested in our message of health transformation, and we’ll be working hard to raise public awareness in the coming months.”

See you at next year’s LNLO!
