Two-thirds of people get cancer. The majority engage in one form of non-standard, CAM (complementary and alternative medicine) treatment or another. A research group from Yale has just published a second study that appears to ‘can’ these non-standard, generally natural treatments – without even attempting to identify them. In our view, the study is deeply misleading and we’ve laid out our concerns with it. Since it’s been widely reported, it’s important for cancer patients to understand what’s really going on and how the conflicts of interest may have deviated the message.
It’s also #ThrowbackThursday – and the throwback comes in the form of fat and of course we have an assortment of weekly news.
