Teen mental health and meat-eating, or not

As a society, we’ve become more aware of mental health issues so we’re measuring mental health better than ever before. That accounts for some of the apparent increase in incidence—but not all of it, especially not the trend for the young to be most affected. In my feature piece this week, we look at this thorny issue and offer some possible insights as to triggers and solutions.

We also take a look at the long-standing debate on whether or not humans should or shouldn't eat meat. We emphasise that either way, particular attention needs to be paid to individual nutrients and food groups and that supplements can sometimes be nigh on essential, given the nature of our current food supply.

Further to my piece last week on a cancer-afflicted child facing enforced chemotherapy in the UK against the will of her mother, I will be in Court on Friday to witness the next stage of the proceedings and can report back next week. The mother, you may recall, has found herself in contempt of the English judicial system through her desire to find what she believes to be the best opportunity to save her daughter’s life.
