- Medical freedom in Idaho has taken a huge step forward as a new bill passed the state legislature and now awaits the signature of the governor to enshrine it in law, thanks to the effort of Leslie Manookian and the Health Freedom Defense. This groundbreaking new law will prohibit businesses and education facilities from mandating any medical interventions for attendance or employment, thereby enshrining Idahoans freedom to choose, in law
- Red Panax ginseng root powder has been found to reduce stress levels, improve emotional wellbeing and improve the cognitive function of people experiencing moderate levels of stress. The findings come from a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study published in Nutrients, using a specially grown ginseng containing higher levels of the active compounds (rare ginsenoisides), which also reported no adverse reactions related to the ginseng use
- Microplastics could be reducing plants', marine and freshwater algae’s ability to photosynthesise. This alarming conclusion comes from a new study published in PNAS, using AI models to analyse its dataset. There are concerns the study overstates the problem, but it raises a warning of the wide ranging impact of microplastics as they continue to increase in the environment despite the many awareness campaigns in the media.

- A new study, published in the Annals of Neurology by UC San Francisco researchers has found that older, healthy adults with lower, yet still within 'normal' range, vitamin B12 levels showed neurological and cognitive impairments. The participants, whose average B12 concentration was 414.8 pmol/L (within the current normal range), exhibited greater damage to the brain's white matter—the nerve fibers responsible for communication between different brain regions. They also performed worse on cognitive and visual processing tests, showing slower processing speeds compared to those with higher B12 levels. Based on these findings, the researchers recommend redefining B12 deficiency criteria and considering B12 supplementation for older adults with neurological symptoms, even if their B12 levels fall within the normal range
- Like many western countries, New Zealand is facing a health crisis. A new petition calls on the New Zealand government to move away from a “treatment at any cost” based system to one where “prevention is cure” and health coaches and lifestyle medicine experts support behaviour change to create a healthier population.

- The Kenya Court of Appeal has blocked the Kenyan government from importing genetically modified organisms in a historic victory for food sovereignty, farmers’ rights and environmental justice
- While in Mexico, the government has officially banned the planting of GM corn to protect heritage varities of corn unique to to the country
- A new report sounds the alarm over the danger to smallholder farmers in Africa, which produce over 80% of the continent’s food, by the increasing capture of agricultural supply chains by global agri-tech companies, fuelled by captured political systems
- Meanwhile in Europe the fight to prevent deregulation and patenting of GMOs/NGT (new gene technology) organisms continues. As the push to deregulate genetically modified organisms continues, the UK is consulting over whether or not it will label the seeds from NGTs. GM Freeze has the full story plus suggestions on how to respond to this crucial consultation
- In the UK the government has launched a consultation to determine land use under the banner of “sustainable growth” and clean energy, as it seeks to ‘protect nature’ and promote ‘sustainable’ food production – read unregulated GM organisms and renewable energy programmes taking a seat at the table.
>> Could the new UK consultation be setting the stage for a corporate land grab?
- Three new critiques, Frank et al, Di Ciaula et al, Hardell & Nilsson (2025) have been published by international experts, showing that a recent World Health Organization review of mobile phone radiation declaring mobile phones don’t pose a health hazard, is unsafe due to critical errors, omissions and conflicts of interest
- Glyphosate, the world’s most widely used herbicide, can adversely affect female health making it more difficult for women to get pregnant, according to a new review of human and animal research published in Reproductive Sciences. The researchers also found that glyphosate may be a driver in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis, due to its endocrine-disrupting capabilities and reproductive toxicity.

ANH-USA Update
- A study reveals that the chemical industry’s assertions that polymers are safe, inert, substances that pose little to no health risks are lies. In reality such chemicals breakdown into highly toxic breakdown products that pollute just about everything, in the same way as PFAS chemicals. Tell your representative to Ban PFAS now!
- The ANH-USA team set out the very real dangers of mobile phone use, raise a red flag over the quiet roll out of 5G technology, which will increase exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) and the telecom industry’s attempts to block Americans' ability to protest against the roll out through the imposition of highly restrictive legislation. Help Stop the 5G expansion!
