Natural News
- Continued, persistent delays by the European Commission to meet legal deadlines for preparing authorisation decisions in relation to toxic chemicals, amounts to maladministration according to the European Ombudsman. The ruling by the Ombudsman found that such delays represent a threat to both human and environmental health as they allow companies to continue to use substances which can negatively impact health
- New Roundup products on sale in the US contain chemicals even more toxic than the original formulation according to a report from Friends of the Earth. The report warns that the new formulations are 45 times more toxic to human health and pose significantly increased risks to the environment
- Coinciding with the start of COP16 this week, The Guardian published an op-ed warning about the very real danger of widespread biodiversity loss and its impact on the environment (overshadowing the supposed climate crisis), largely due to human activity. Biodiversity loss also poses a significant risk to our reliance on nature for food, clean water and the air we breathe.
- The New Zealand government is reported to be planning to introduce standalone legislation to regulate natural products, following discussions with the natural health sector. No further information on the scope, detail or the approach to be used in regard to such legislation is available currently
- Teens and young people are reportedly relying more and more on information served up in their social media feeds rather than actively searching for and reading about different topics. Such behaviours makes it even easier for authorities to reinforce required narratives, without people ever realising that they’re being led and nudged to toe the party line.

- Levels of chronic disease in Ontario, Canada are set to double by 2040. A new report from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health also predicts that more people will live with multiple conditions. The study calls on health authorities to focus on preventing chronic disease by detecting and treating illness earlier, rather than focusing on creating vibrant health and wellbeing
- In a bid to stem the rapid rise in chronic disease, the UK government is proposing to give more patients smart watches to help them monitor their health to stop their health deteriorating, as part of its 10-year health plan. Particularly aimed at heart disease and diabetic patients, so they can monitor their own blood pressure and sugar levels from the comfort of their own home. Given that they can already do this with blood pressure and glucose monitors which are readily available from all good pharmacies, it's hard to see how this not insignificant spend, will create additional benefit - especially as there appears to be no nutrition and lifestyle advice packaged with the tech
- The Novo Nordisk Foundation, which is purported to be totally independent from the pharma company it's named after, is funding a six year research programme, called OnLiMiT (Optimal Non-pharmacological Lifestyle Modifications Among Patients with T2DM) into the use of different diets and exercise regimes to help people lose weight and put type 2 diabetes into remission
- Almost half of the calories consumed by UK toddlers comes from UPFs. A figure that rises to nearly 60% by the age of 7 years. Researchers, publishing in the European Journal of Nutrition, used data from the UK Gemini twin cohort, which also showed high levels of sugar consumption, commonly from flavoured yogurts, breakfast cereals, puddings and sweet cereal products, plus low levels of fibre.

- Leading scientists have warned that “premature” calls for a clampdown on ultra-processed foods (UPFs) risks sparking a national dietary crisis as the campaign to ban UPFs gathers steam. A new report, and associated editorial, published in PLOS Medicine, claims evidence used to warn about the potential health issues of UPF foods is “overwhelmingly” circumstantial and lacks direct evidence of harm. The report urges politicians not to extend restrictions beyond the current definitions of HFSS due to the supposed, risk of the 'anti-UPF bandwagon' doing more harm than good for those with limited financial resources. This report and editorial joins, what appears to be, a concerted effort by food manufacturers to healthwash UPF foods and minimise their harms.
>>> Why ultra-processed foods may be causing more harm than good
- In the US the 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee Meeting has decided against making any recommendations in relation to the consumption of UPFs due to a lack of evidence on their potential harms. It’s also agreed that there should be no major changes to current guidance other than to emphasise a move towards “plant-forward” diets—so called, as plant-based is commonly associated with veganism. The Committee’s full report is expected to be published in December, after which a public consultation will take place on the recommendations.
ANH-USA update
- Negotiations, under the World Health Organization's (WHO) banner, to force the Pandemic Treaty through to its conclusion, continue to rumble on with little progress. Proponents of the treaty continue to exhort governments to ‘sign on the dotted line’ saying the detail will be sorted out later. Not only does it now promote a One Health approach, it would also cement a global, coordinated attack on free speech. Read more and find out how you can oppose the WHO’s bid for global domination
- Have you heard about Apeel? A seemingly innocuous coating for fruit and vegetables to maintain their ‘freshness’ and reduce the need for plastic packaging. Is it really all it’s cracked up to be? Find out more so you can make informed decisions about the food you eat.
Free Speech Controls
- World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, used his recent speech at the World Health Summit to double down on 'misinformation' saying the WHO is actively working on ways to counter mis- and disinformation with a range of companies, organisations and researchers
-
Documents leaked from the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), the organisation behind the ‘Disinformation Dozen’, show the group planned to "kill Musk’s Twitter" as part of its attempts to stamp out ‘misinformation’. The Disinformation Chronicle has the inside track.
Covid related Update
- Current and former politicians from around the world at the UNITE Global Summit have signed a statement of support for the WHO’s Pandemic Agreement (Treaty). Efforts continue to push governments to adopt an Agreement, that lacks the important fine detail, on the promise that it will be sorted out later
- Vaccinating older people in care homes against covid "probably" averted some deaths in 2021, but the effects were minimal and seem to have disappeared with ongoing covid jabs. Using machine learning, researchers publishing in European Economic Review, found a 10% increase in jabs equalled a 1% reduction of overall mortality. Any reduction in mortality was limited to the initial vaccine rollout. Find out more about the paper and its conclusions from its authors
- Using data from France, researchers publishing in JAMA, have found that patients who developed myocarditis between 2020 and 2022, following covid jabs, were younger and healthier than those who developed myocarditis after covid infection or for other reasons
- Following Port Hedlund Council in Australia’s move to demand the withdrawal of covid mRNA vaccines, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has rejected concerns over contamination of the jabs as 'misinformation'. In a press release the TGA has slammed the independent analysis of the covid shots, suggesting the methods used lack “scientific rigour”. Senator Gerard Rennick pushes back against the TGA’s claim in a recent video posted on social media and Maryanne Demasi examines the issue on her Substack
- Bill Gates could be summoned to appear in Court in The Netherlands as part of a lawsuit brought against Gates and members of the Dutch government, which has been brought by seven Dutch people injured by covid shots, after the Court ruled that it has jurisdiction over Gates. The Defender has the full story.
