Natural News

  • The Natural Products Association (NPA) has won a huge legal victory against the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) after it filed a lawsuit requesting the FDA stop its attack on Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN). The court has granted the NPA an 8-month stay, meaning that the FDA won’t be allowed to pursue supplement companies offering NMN for sale during this period. Additionally, the FDA will be required to respond to the Citizen's Petition jointly filed by the NPA and ANH-USA in 2023.

  • The more sugar a baby is exposed to, both before birth and in their first two years of life, the higher their risk of developing type 2 diabetes (T2D) and other chronic diseases as they get older. Publishing in Science, researchers analysed data pre- and post-sugar rationing in the UK, finding babies conceived during sugar rationing had a 35% lower risk of developing T2D than those conceived once rationing stopped.

  • Pathogenic bacteria (particularly Klebsiella pneumoniae) travelling from the gut to the brain via the bloodstream, following damage to the gut after antibiotic use, contributes to the development of Alzheimer’s. This is because once in the brain, the bacteria ignites neuroinflammation and cognitive impairment, both of which are symptoms of Alzheimer’s. You’re never too late, or young, to nurture good gut health and reduce your risk of developing dementia later in life.

  • One of clinical psychoneuroimmunology Founder, Dr Leo Pruimboom’s, mantras is ’we need sitting breaks’ — meaning breaks from sitting (he's Dutch, but also speaks 4 other languages!). This is because sitting for long periods is exceptionally bad for our health (sitting is the new smoking). Now, a new study published in PLOS ONE, provides compelling evidence to support Dr Pruimboom’s warnings of the harm of too much sitting time. This research finds that those who don’t take regular breaks from sitting through the day, are more prone to developing metabolic disease.

  • Two former members of the US Dietary Guidelines expert committee, writing in The Hill, demolish the US Dietary guidelines, dubbing them “untrustworthy guidelines that continue to drive obesity and poor metabolic health”. They also deride the continued use of cherry-picked, outdated biased science
  • Pesticide manufacturers are pumping money into US politics, both at federal level, and increasingly, at state level, in an effort to get payouts from lawsuits capped as they pursue the ultimate goal of getting legal ‘immunity’ from prosecution. Something that may prove far more difficult now that Trump and JD Vance, along with Robert F Kennedy Jr, are set to enter government.

  • High use of household chemicals, such as those now routinely found in cleaning products and artificial ‘fragrancers’, can increase people’s risk of cognitive decline as they age, according to a recent study published in Heliyon
  • Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are widely accepted to cause health issues. A new paper published in Environmental Science & technology underscores the toxicity of these chemicals, finding that they are neurotoxic at concentrations representative of those found in ground and surface water. The researchers also found that swapping PFAS compounds made no difference to the damage caused by the chemicals
  • A second new paper, published in Science of the Total Environment, exposes the damage that PFAS exposure causes to the gut microbiome, which can then drive kidney damage.

  • The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAOI) is throwing its weight behind the so-called "genetic revolution". Advocating for full scale adoption of 'new genomic techniques' (NGTs), gene editing by another name, to secure food security, tackle the 'climate crisis' and protect biodiversity
  • Following publication of this year's Global Risks Report in January, by the World Economic forum, which puts biodiversity loss in the top three threats to society, an article in Nature puts biodiversity credits front and centre as a way to ensure the maintenance of biodiversity. Once again, these schemes are supported by some of the globe's biggest stakeholders as way to greenwash their continued degradation of the natural world.

ANH-USA update

  • A key committee of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has moved one step closer to banning yet more life-enhancing peptides from being used by compounding pharmacies along with a commonly consumed amino acid. Write to Congress and the FDA to stop the bans!
  • ANH-USA General Counsel, Jonathan Emord, bids Durk Pearson a fond farewell as he remembers a natural medicine pioneer and liberator, with whom he worked for three decades to stem FDA tyranny against natural medicine, who passed away recently. Read more…
  • US journalist, Alex Berenson, has been the victim of censorship by the US government resulting in him being banned from Twitter during covid. He’s now challenging that suppression of free speech in court. The case once again, shows how vital is it to fight against censorship, particularly when it comes to our health. Free Speech Controls

  • Digital IDs are being actively developed in the UK by the Office for Digital Identities and Attributes (ODIA), which says it’s “working to help people securely prove who they are without having to present physical documents". The ODIA has also unveiled details of the Data Use and Access Bill which will allow personal data to be shared more widely. The new legislation is being justified by claims that it will make people’s live easier
  • New legislation is being introduced in the EU to turn what is currently a “voluntary code of practice” into a mandatory code of conduct for tech/social media platforms, as the EU seeks to turn the screws ever harder on those of us prepared to stand up and speak out in defence of all our freedoms
  • Australians are being encouraged to sign a petition opposing the Australian Communications Legislation Amendment (Combating Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2024 (MAD Bill), which if passed, would give the Australian government unprecendented powers to censor free speech online. • Canadian officials are reportedly looking to push digital IDs without parliamentary approval as they work to "establish digital credentials".

Covid related Update

  • The UK government has announced the creation of what it calls, an ‘early warning system’ for pandemics, which will introduce new diagnostic systems to track viral respiratory infections so the government can respond more quickly in the event of a new pandemic
  • A new video has been released, produced with the expert help of the ANH media team, that documents the UK government’s response to covid. The video, ‘COVID-19 and the Immune System: An Evidence-Based Investigation’, is the first in a series called ‘COVID-19: Following The Real Science, curated by Rachel Nicoll PhD. In it she looks at how our immune systems coped with covid, plus much more. Dr Nicoll has been very careful to ensure everything in the video is backed up by robust scientific evidence, which is far more rigorous than that of the UK government’s responses, which were, she says, largely ‘evidence-free’. Read Dr Nicoll’s summary of the video in the Daily Sceptic
  • Hundreds of police officers in Australia are suing the Queensland government and Queensland Police Service over the introduction of coercive covid vaccine mandates during covid
  • A US court has ruled that a woman injured by the Astrazeneca covid vaccine during a trial, can pursue the pharma giant for compensation for the injuries she suffered, despite the company's claim that it's protected by a government liability shield
  • In October 2024, members of the People's Vaccine Inquiry held The Stone Summit in Belfast, which was dedicated Dr Jackie Stone, who left this world suddenly last month. Jackie, a doctor in Zimbabwe, was a true warrior of our time, a courageous woman who lived and died by her ethical principles. The presentations were recorded to highlight the overwhelming evidence that the Covid vaccines are neither safe nor effective and to call for an immediate halt to the Covid jab rollout — as well as for recognition, justice and compensation for the vaccine injured and bereaved
  • James Lyons-Weiler PhD warns of the potential harms of continued gain of function (GOF) work being undertaken by Chinese scientists to amplify the transmissibility of respiratory viruses using a new system of artificial receptors, which mimic viruses natural systems of entry to cells
  • Thirty Irish children aged between 12-15 years, required emergency treatment following covid shots according to a new study published in the Official Journal of the Irish Medical Organisation. Two thirds of the patients were boys
  • A study published in Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, claiming that the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat covid patients was responsible for 17,000 deaths, has been retracted. The retraction comes after the Journal received multiple Letters to the Editor calling the conclusions of the article into question. Retraction Watch has more
