Natural News

  • NDP Health Critic Peter Julian, has introduced a range of amendments to Canadian Bill C-368, which is designed to reverse changes made in 2023 that placed natural health products (NHPs) under the therapeutic product category of the Food and Drugs Act. These new amendments threaten to undo the progress made by campaigners to protect NHPs. If accepted, the amendment would render Bill C-368 meaningless and leave natural health products under the extensive—and unreasonable—powers of the “therapeutic product” category (read Shawn Buckley’s Discussion Paper on the amendments). The amendment is being seen as a political manoeuvre designed to stop natural health products being treated in the same way as drugs. There’s only been a short window of opportunity to defeat the amendment as the Standing Committee is met today, Thursday 28th November.
  • Florida State Surgeon General, Dr Joseph Ladapo, is recommending against the fluoridation of water due to the risk of neurological damage to children and the wide availability of fluoride in oral care products. The new guidelines come hot on the heels of a landmark publication from the US National Toxicology Program (NTP), which finds fluoride lowers children’s IQ and has the same toxicity as lead.

  • As antimicrobial resistance becomes an ever more pressing and urgent issue, scientists are once again turning to phage therapy—using viruses that tackle bacterial infections—to combat the issue. As part of ongoing investigations, French scientists, publishing in Nature Microbiology, have developed an AI tool that can choose phages based on a bacteria’s genome with a view to personalising therapies for people with highly resistant bacterial infections
  • Pro-industry thinktank, Science for Sustainable Agriculture, has penned a letter to the UK’s Advertising Standards Association (ASA), slamming a Soil Association press release supporting new ASA guidelines aimed at the promotion of regenerative agriculture, accusing the Soil Association of ‘greenwashing’ organic and regenerative agriculture. The authors of the letter base their criticisms on the fact that organic farmers can, in an emergency, use non-organic seed plus a range of pesticides are available for use in organic farming, if required. However, they neglect to mention that organic farming generally relies on the use of preventative measures, only a small number of pesticides are authorised for use by organic farmers, the majority of which are of low toxicity and their use is significantly lower than conventional agricultural systems, if used
  • Two recent publications in The Lancet and JACC: Basic to Translational Science, spark concerns over muscle loss in people using GLP-1 weight loss drugs. The Lancet paper shows up to 40% of the weight lost by GLP-1 users was muscle rather than fat. The JACC paper found that heart muscle also decreased both in mice and human heart cells (in vitro) emphasising the importance of protocols that preserve muscle mass in semaglutide users. Preservation of muscle mass is also essential for a healthy immune system and keeping our bodies strong and resilient.

>>> Are you up for taking Big Pharma's new 'skinny' jab?

  • Could Alzheimer’s Disease be an autoimmune condition? The theory that Alzheimer's disease is an autoimmune disease isn't new, however the tight grip on research by Big Pharma has prevented theories outside of the amyloid plaque theory to be investigated, as they chase down new 'blockbuster' drugs. A new mouse study, published in Nature Neuroscience, investigates the role of Tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2), an enzyme that’s believed to be integral to the development of autoimmune disease. The researchers found TYK2 plays a role in the development of toxic Tau in the brain, which essentially strangles neurons in the brain disrupting their ability to communicate. The new research opens the door to a wide range of potential natural interventions to switch off the body’s reaction to itself, dampen inflammation and put people back on a road to wellness.

ANH-USA update

  • Shockwaves reverberated around social media as an image of Donald Trump and members of his inner circle, including Robert F Kennedy Jr, with a MacDonald’s meal circulated the airwaves amongst promises to tackle American’s addiction to ultra-processed foods (UPFs). The ANH-USA team look at the issues RFK Jr should prioritise as the next leader of the US Health and Human Services (HHS) and what he will need to do to change American’s addiction to UPFs and reverse the current chronic disease epidemic. Read more about ANH’s vision for change – Naturally!
  • Recent studies lay out the dangers of exposure to multiple forever chemicals (PFAS), along with the impact on gut health and contribution to kidney disease. PFAS chemicals have now also been found in rainwater, yet the authorities still refuse to take decisive action to ban the chemicals to protect people’s health. Help protect American's health by writing to Congress and the EPA urging them to ban PFAS chemicals as a complete class!

Free Speech Controls

  • There's a new technique coming our way, from researchers publishing in APA PsychNet to counter ‘misinformation’, called 'bypassing'. Rather than offering a correction to the 'misinformation', which can be viewed as confrontational and has been found to be less effective, bypassing, offers people positive information to direct people's attention away from the misinformation. For instance someone questioning the safety of GM organisms would be shown information that highlights its supposed positive effects and uses. However you look at it, it's just another way to indoctrinate people and reduce their ability to think critically about subjects the mainstream would rather you leave well alone
  • Attempts by the Australian government to push its misinformation bill through have been abandoned after it failed to get the necessary support in Parliament. However, it's now rushed through a new bill, which was approved by Parliament this week, aimed at preventing children under the age of 16 from accessing social media platforms. Significant concerns have been expressed that this presages a requirement to use digital IDs, although a newly added clause states digital IDs cannot be enforced. As always there's a cavat, that there's no guarantee this won't be brought back to the table in the future
  • Donald Trump continues to confound the world with his nominations for key posts in the US’s incoming administration following this month’s election. Two of his latest nominations are Dr Marty Makary to lead the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Dr Jay Bhattacharya as the Director of the National Institutes for Health (NIH), both of whom have pushed back against covid restrictions and the crackdowns on ‘misinformation’ by the US government.

Covid related Update

  • A coalition of hundreds of scientists, politicians, doctors and other experts, known as the NORTHGroup, are urging governments to bring an immediate stop to the use of covid mRNA jabs. A letter expressing their serious concerns about the safety of the shots, has been sent to 10 European Heads of State
  • Covid mRNA vaccines can integrate with the genome in human cells. In order to show those that would have us believe it’s not an issue, Dr Philip Buckhaults has conducted laboratory experiments using human stem cells, known as organoids. Having ‘vaccinated’ the cells the team found after month that plasmid DNA persisted in the DNA of the ‘vaccinated’ cells. De Buckhault points out that this doesn't prove it's happening to covid vaccinated people, but it does prove the DNA can enter human cells.
