2018 natural wrap-up
Looking back at 2018, it’s a relief that neither Donald Trump nor Kim Jong-un pushed any red buttons. Theresa May didn’t fully about-turn on Brexit, nor has she delivered what most would say the British public asked for, nearly losing her job over it. And most recently, COP24 in Poland was something of a disaster. But nothing compared with what might be in store for this delicate planet of ours if we don’t get a bit more radical in our bid to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. Speaking of dependency – the same applies to how we manage our health. Much to the disdain of most governments and mega-corporations, heath care won’t get back on track until we stop thinking the solution to our woes can be delivered in pharmaceutical form. To this end, for us, 2018 has been largely about birthing our blueprint. A huge thank you to all those who contributed to and endorsed it. We’ve got two new videos out today to help make the 140 pages of the somewhat technical language in our UK blueprint a little more accessible. We’re working on a generic version now – and plenty more! Some of you may have noticed that last week our website changed quite dramatically. A huge thank you to our partners at We Heart Digital for the work they’ve done in bringing our mission to life through our new site. There’s plenty more work to do – it’s an ongoing project, so please bear with us as we develop the platform further. We bring you, for our final newsletter – now renamed the ANH-Intl ♥beat – our 2018 review by way of key articles that we’ve published online during the course of the year. You may have missed some of our outputs during the year. Here’s your chance to dive in and see what might be of particular interest to you or others with whom you might want to share. We leave you also with some pointers for the Christmas period, for many, a period of indulgence. We’ve framed our advice within the ‘biological terrain’ of our blueprint. It’s there as a PDF, so if you fancy it and feel the need for a memory jog or two to keep you in fine fettle, you can print it off and stick it on your refrigerator! I’d like to make a final appeal. As a small team in a non-profit, solely dependent on donations, we work tirelessly in pursuit of our mission for wider adoption of natural and sustainable health. We deploy our work using our CARE approach (Campaigns, Activism, Research and Education), which now has its own engagement tool front and centre on our new website. If you’d like to make a one-off or recurring monthly donation to support our work, whatever the amount, we’d hugely appreciate it. Thank you. On behalf of Meleni, Melissa, Charlie, Paul and I – as the ANH-Intl team – here’s wishing you the very best for the year’s end 🎄 and for a natural healthful 2019 🎉. We’re already looking forward to reconnecting with you in early January…
