Are you part of the solution?
A doctor I admire greatly has just reminded us all on his recent livestream that if we're not part of the solution, by definition, we are part of the problem. He was referring to the need for us all to apply critical thinking to the mainstream, pandemic-related narrative instead of just mindlessly succumbing to the hypnotic power of the mass media. Question, question and question again. Acquiescence without questioning factual basis, motive and potential consequences is a dangerous road and one that certainly doesn't appear to have its roots in democracy. Especially in light of the Forbes article we reported on last week, which says we shouldn’t engage in our own research, even if we are a scientist by profession, because we lack the “…relevant scientific expertise to critique the science” and are likely to reach the “wrong conclusions”. That set my warning bells off with a deafening clamour. If you've been following our work and regularly receive our newsletters, then you'll know that we've been doing a lot of questioning, data mining and fact-checking of our own since this all started back in early March. We've also been making a lot of recommendations to help you stay in resilient health given the complete absence of any significant public health messaging for the immune system. You can find it all on our Covid Campaign or at www.covidzone.org. However, the quick summary is that all too often we find the data saying something vastly different than the mainstream media or government narrative. Amidst the intensifying of mask mandates, covid restrictions and pandemic impacts in many countries (see news snippets) join Rob Verkerk and I for the first in our new series of ANH Forest Chats. A summer foil for our winter Log Cabin Chats! We hope that our conversation helps more people to become part of the solution, so please do share widely. In this chat we highlight a number of areas where what you hear on the news just does not tally with the data. We all should be questioning, why? We're thrilled to have a guest feature this week from medical herbalist, Hannah Charman, with some practical suggestions for using herbs at home to counter brain inflammation arising from stress and trauma. This ties in with our last two videos on brain inflammation and why stress and trauma are silent health assassins. I know there's not much head space (pun intended!) for non-covid, self-care information at the moment, but this is so important as we only have one brain. Last, but definitely not least is our news round up. There are a few items in this week that should trigger some serious questioning... Our grateful thanks to all of our supporters for donating at this challenging time, sharing information and stepping up because it's not an option to be a part of the problem.
