The health of the organisms with any ecosystem is a major determinant of the health of that ecosystem. Look what happened last year with the other virus: chronic bee paralysis virus or CBPV, that’s been decimating British bee colonies for the last decade. Last year, the fatal disease was estimated to wipe out 40% of all honey bees in over 80% of counties in England alone.

SARS-CoV-2 is no human equivalent when it comes to its risk of fatality. But it’s the slow burn of the new human coronavirus that’s now creating pandemic upon pandemic. Right at the heart of this problem is how the indirect effects of the pandemic are impacting our most important asset in society – the young – also the group most resilient to the virus itself.

So we’ve created a video that summarises the problem for our youngest ones – getting help from my two now ‘home schooled’, distance learning, youngest daughters on the narration. In our second piece, I’ve also attempted to ask 4 burning questions that many of you have been asking.   

I have to ask you again to please share our content as widely as you can given the extraordinary censorship we all face.
