Preventable harms and health
It's hard to be emotionally detached from the words 'preventable harms in healthcare'. The very concept engenders a gut response and may trigger deeper wounds if you or your family have been directly affected. Medical care often involves complications that are unavoidable. But avoidable harms play havoc with our mental state and are much harder to reconcile. This #ThrowbackThursday, we revisit the area of preventable harms in medicine. The silent epidemic of modern healthcare, because despite all the investment into making modern medicine safe, avoidable harms continue to rise. On the theme of natural alternatives and empowered, DIY self care, following last week's video we release Part 2 in our hacking your healthspan video series. By addressing function in all 12 domains, you can't help but create health, not disease. We leave you with a very full basket of news snippets this week.
