Schools, vitamins and remdesivir
The excess death count for the UK – the number of people dying over normal expectation – doesn’t make pretty reading now it’s the worst in Europe. Part of this is the result of bad or poorly timed decisions by the UK government. Other reasons include a large susceptible population and lack of effective treatment options. It’s highly unlikely that remdesivir will be a magic bullet (see our piece below). Vaccines may or may not work, and could deliver more harm than benefit, hence the importance of our vaccine transparency manifesto. All this before you even start to look at the negative and indirect impacts of government decisions that have affected lives and livelihoods, as well as communities and economies – the effects of which will reverberate into all of our futures. Why on Earth more emphasis isn’t being placed on helping people improve their immunity is anyone’s guess – and I’m sure we’ve all got views on this. Throwing two of mine into the ring; I think it’s in part linked to an insufficient understanding within the upper echelons of government of how immune systems and microbes interact, as well as being a reflection of the deeply intertwined nature of Big Pharma and government. So we’re pushing hard alongside others to get the government to do the right thing guided by the available science when it comes to schools reopening in the UK. We’ve again linked up with our medical doctor colleagues at the British Society for Ecological Medicine and delivered a straightforward, low cost protocol to help kids, teachers and families build immune resilience. We’ve interviewed Christine Brett who’s leading a UK campaign to get schools back to normal – without social distancing. We offer you an expert viewpoint from health practitioner and teacher, Lucy Stephens, who’s deeply committed to both education and health and who’s about to open an innovative new school in south east London. We also give you a reality check on remdesivir – and then there’s our news roundup. We remind you again to share as much of our content as you can. Like millions of others, including some much more prominent than ourselves, we’re deeply disturbed by the marshalling of public viewpoints through censorship and control by the social media magnates.
