Sunshine vitamin and government negligence
Following our warm-up act on vitamin D last week, today we release our full vitamin D campaign, complete with our second open letter of the year to UK health secretary Matt Hancock. Last time it was on vaccine transparency, something he’s at least paying lip service to. This time it’s on vitamin D, an issue he’s been confused over given his contradictory and incorrect statements made recently. We’ve also got for you an information-packed, insightful article from health journalist and ANH friend Jerome Burne.
Our other main piece, is one I’ve written to expose the horrendous consequences of focusing so much attention for so long on just one disease, a disease that is far from the leading killer. We call this governmental condition ‘covid myopia’ and it’s killing people. It ignores a whole range of accessible and affordable modifiable risk factors for severe covid disease that are simply being ignored. Attaining adequate status of circulating vitamin D for immune health is just one of dozens that you could take into your own hands. Government neglect could even constitute a civil wrong under tort law, one worthy of legal challenge.
