The suspension of democracy
Some of you may have seen that our ‘Great Reset or Great Divide’ video from last week was removed by YouTube. Our appeal was rejected and we’ve still no idea which part of the company’s community rules we disobeyed. We've now got it playing on last week’s website story from the BitChute channel. Quite an infringement on freedom of expression - but one controlled by a private company following an orchestrated inter-governmental plan designed to shut down dissenting voices. Then there’s the subject matter of our lead story: an astonishing, nearly 200,000 people, mainly private individuals, including many of you, and ourselves, responded to the UK Government’s consultation on changing UK medicines laws to cater for planned mass vaccination when a unlicensed vaccine candidate for Covid-19 gets greenlighted by the UK medicines regulator. The result: steamroller ahead, ignoring the public and not wasting time getting the input of Parliament. A pandemic, it seems, allows the necessary conditions to suspend democracy. The only positive thing to come out of this is there is now a significant paper trail that might help in any future legal actions. Our next piece is the prelude to the more formal launch of our vitamin D ‘Test and Take’ campaign (we’re of course :-D not casting any aspersions on the NHS’ troubled Test & Trace). First governments deny its benefit, then they're forced to recognise its merits such is the robustness of the science. But as is so often the case in the field of natural health, they appear adamant to make sure the public isn’t informed of how to use the vitamin optimally. Presumably, the concern is that we might become less interested in drugs? Meleni, our executive coordinator, with her nutritional and functional medicine background and detailed understanding of the science, sets the scene for this pro-hormone vitamin perfectly. Next week, Dr Damien Downing – one of the first clinicians working with vitamin D (he authored one of the first books on the subject, Daylight Robbery, in 1986) – and I, will bring you more detail as we get the campaign off the ground proper, with your help. In due course, we’ll also be bringing you more information about the other no-brainer addition to the arsenal. Yes, you’ve guessed it, vitamin C. There’s plenty more: our Covid ‘tracker’, our news roundup and a new video segment we’ll be running weekly, particularly on social media, that gives me a chance to talk to you directly but very briefly about various topical issues – while I walk or ride in my preferred habitat – nature. Finally, I’d like to thank you for the outpouring of comments and feedback we’ve received during the week. We’re very grateful, as it’s knowing our work is making a difference that keeps us going. We'd also like to offer our heartfelt thanks to those of you who responded to our call for support last week. We hope to have more news for you all next week. And please don't forget, the offer of support remains wide open! In health, naturally Rob Verkerk PhD Founder, executive & scientific director
