  Pharma, plants and addiction

Many of us, especially in Europe, have already experienced what it’s like to lose access to particular herbs or botanical supplements because of the actions of regulators. They tell us they’re acting in our best interests - protecting public health. The reality is that one of the main reasons so many people are becoming prematurely diseased is not enough of us are consuming sufficient amounts - or diversity - of plants. And precious few data suggest that when we ingest or Imbibe concentrated nutrients from plants that we expose ourselves to any significant risk. Big Pharma has a game plan - and it’s one that doesn’t involve us self-medicating with plants in place of using its own manipulated molecules. You’ll find out a lot more about this important issue in our lead story this week - and please download and share our infographic about Big Pharma’s exploitation of plants widely.

Our second piece this week picks up on one of the themes from last week’s story on food addiction and kids’ health. We dive into the issue of food addiction more deeply, something to consider should you ever find yourself contemplating some processed food concoction in your local supermarket. The ‘bliss point’ need not necessarily involve sugar - but whatever it is, it’s unlikely to be much good for your health, and it may get you addicted!

Check out too our weekly news snippets on why the Bayer/Monsanto merger should be blocked, how Monsanto is revamping an old-style hazardous herbicide as an alternative to Roundup, the UK government stitch-up against homeopathy…and more.

In health, as naturally as we can…
