Take a video tour, segment by segment, with Rob Verkerk PhD.

On the eve of World Diabetes Day 2019, Rob Verkerk PhD takes you on a tour of our Food4Health guidelines.

This ‘plate’ is purposefully anti-inflammatory, low carb, moderate protein and high(er) fat. Along with the 10 key guidelines, it’s aimed at returning you to a state of metabolic flexibility and keeping you there. Once you are resilient in your ability to switch your fuel sources from carbs to fat and back again, as necessary, you are in a position for your evolutionary protective mechanisms to kick back in. Being metabolically flexible is synonymous with health and the absence of disease.

As part of a wider nutrition and lifestyle protocol that addresses physical activity, sleep and stress management, it’s also an effective strategy for dealing with pre-diabetes (Metabolic Syndrome) and type 2 diabetes.
